In short

An e-commerce website and Android and iOS apps for customers in Bangladesh. I joined supporting a senior developer and grew into owning the whole web and mobile frontend: multi-variant products, checkout and shipping, order management, payment integrations, club points, referrals and search filters, implemented across both web and mobile.

The problem

A commerce catalogue with multiple product variants, four local payment providers, club points and referrals has to behave identically on the website and in both apps. Implementing each feature twice, differently, is where the bugs live.

What I delivered

Built multi-variant product UI and behaviour, so variant selection drives price, availability and cart state.
Built checkout and shipping, order management, and the customer-facing stock behaviour around them.
Integrated the payment APIs and built their UI for bKash, Nagad, City Bank and BRAC Bank.
Implemented club-point redemption, referrals and advanced search filters.
Rebuilt homepage sections and refreshed product pages, and added loading skeletons on the web.
Implemented most commerce features across both the web app and the React Native apps.
Added web push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging.
Implemented detailed analytics and custom events across platforms with Google Analytics and Meta tracking.
Reworked the website SEO implementation.
Built mobile deep links so the web and app experiences connect.

Engineering challenges

Variants that drive everything downstream
A product with multiple variants changes price, stock and cart behaviour on selection. I built that UI and behaviour so the same rules hold on web and in the apps.
Four payment providers, one checkout
bKash, Nagad, City Bank and BRAC Bank each have their own integration. I implemented the API integration and the UI for all four behind a single checkout.
Connecting web and app journeys
I added deep links so a link opened on a phone continues in the app, and web push through Firebase Cloud Messaging so the web side could reach customers too.

Outcome

The team delivered and kept extending the core shopping experience across web and mobile, with detailed event reporting in place. My frontend ownership grew from supporting a senior developer to the whole web and mobile surface.
