Mana Bay
Online ticketing for a water park, launched against the opening date.
Visit the productIn short
A showcase, commerce and online ticket-purchasing website for a water park in Bangladesh. I built the commerce frontend and the customer purchasing journey, connected the park's existing internal ticket management system over XML APIs, integrated SSLCommerz payments, and took responsibility for final release preparation.
Who it is for
Visitors in Bangladesh buying water park tickets online.
The problem
Tickets had to be sold online against a hard date, the park's grand opening, while the authoritative ticket records lived in an internal management system that spoke XML rather than a modern API.
What I delivered
- Built the frontend commerce functionality and the customer purchasing journey.
- Integrated the REST APIs behind the site.
- Connected the existing internal ticket management system through its XML APIs.
- Integrated SSLCommerz for payment.
- Took responsibility for final release preparation, data entry and website refinements.
Engineering challenges
Selling tickets from a system that was not built to sell them
The park's ticket records lived in an internal management system exposed over XML APIs. The purchasing journey had to read and write through that, not around it.
A launch date that could not move
The site had to be ready for the park's grand opening. I took on the release preparation, data entry and final refinements to get it out.
Outcome
The website launched shortly after the park's grand opening, under a tight schedule, and was used for ticket purchases.
- Ticket purchasing connected to an existing internal system over XML APIs
- SSLCommerz payment integration
- Owned final release preparation under a fixed opening date
