A-Gel Shop App

Merchant app for entering purchases and awarding points. Part of Point Kikou.

In short

The merchant side of the Point Kikou ecosystem: shop staff enter a purchase amount, the backend calculates points, and the app awards them over QR or NFC. I implemented the frontend. The full story is in the Point Kikou case study.

Who it is for

Shop staff in Japan awarding A-Gel points at the counter.

The problem

Awarding points at the counter has to be fast and unambiguous. Staff need to enter an amount, see the available points, and complete the award without leaving the customer waiting.

What I delivered

Implemented the React Native frontend for iOS and Android.
Built merchant entry of purchase amounts and integrated it with the backend point calculations.
Built display of available points and the point-awarding flow.
Implemented the QR and NFC interactions used at the counter.

Outcome

Released on both the App Store and Google Play, alongside the User App, within three months.
